Evidence is a workflow, not a folder
Teams sometimes treat evidence as something gathered after the fact — a scramble before a review. That scramble shows. Timestamps do not match, screenshots miss the decision field, and exceptions appear without a reason code.
Evidence that holds is produced by the workflow itself: the approval that writes to the case, the monitoring alert that opens a ticket with a category, the attestation that records who signed and when. If those steps are optional in practice, the archive will look optional too.
During an evidence trail review, we sample live paths rather than browse tidy folders. The goal is not more documents. It is fewer breaks between action and record.
